“Women have a moral obligation to get ‘wholly’ rich; both in living the life they are meant to be living and becoming wealthy.” - Jess Quigley
After 8 years of offering my coaching services to clients passively alongside my nursing day job, I finally made the decision to ‘go all in’ and back myself! I had tried everything to literally quash my entrepreneurial side however, staying in a life that was ‘safe’ but inauthentic became way too uncomfortable and so I made the leap.
Before we make the leap and scale up our business, it’s important to know what mission we are on; who is it that you actually want to help? This helps to focus our energy and we will then generate greater results because we’re not solely doing things just for ourselves.
Secondly, and this is a biggie, we also need to be able to step into a new way of receiving money. This really is the missing piece of the puzzle. If we have any internal doubt about our worth, our nervous system creates a ‘block’ which manifests into the external. In order to shift this, we need to recognise that people are willing to pay for what we are offering. Making incremental shifts in our pricing over time allows our nervous system to adjust so that we are open to receiving.
It's my belief that women have a moral obligation to get ‘wholly’ rich; both in living the life they are meant to be living and becoming wealthy. This has a flow-on effect as it allows us to create amazing things, serve others, support our families and give back to our communities.
Spending time on income-producing activities is a priority. Even if some of what we offer is initially free, the strategies I suggest will lead to producing results and income. I am often asked, “how much do I charge for my first program?” My answer is quite simple. Given our primary aim is to attract clients, we need to charge what we believe our clients will happily pay. Then as we scale up, we continue making our pricing adjustments.
Initially, people tend to get overwhelmed thinking they have to be making an impact everywhere in the online space. This is untrue. Keep it simple. My mantra is ‘One Platform, One Program’. It’s far more important that we create ways for people to connect with us and get to know who we are, than trying to be seen everywhere.
Knowing who we are and our soul’s purpose really underpins what we do. Without committing to working on our own self-mastery, our limiting beliefs will sabotage our efforts. I truly believe everyone needs a coach. Having a coach for our own personal growth guides us through our journey and helps us get clear on what we are offering and what we are going to do. Don’t be afraid to work ‘back to front’. That means, having an idea, being inspired to take action, and knowing that you will figure out the details and content as you go along.
Finally, we need to accept that we will all be rejected at times. It’s an inevitable part of being in business. We mustn’t take it personally. People have their own stuff going on and more often than not it has nothing to do with us. The key to moving through these experiences is having non-resistance in ourselves.
When we consistently ask ourselves the following questions and are guided by our answers, the magic flows!
How can I serve?
How can I help more people?
How can I reach more people?
How can I change lives?
How can I connect to others?
How can I get people to know, like and trust me?
